People we support who have an interest in photography get together to develop their creative and technical skills… and have some fun!
The photography group capture their local area from different angles on a weekly basis. They have also been to loads of different places further afield, including Blackpool and Wales to practice. The group enjoy exploring these different places through a camera lens and experimenting with different equipment.
Each person captures something different – John particularly enjoys photographing buildings and scenery, and likes to experiment with different angles and perspectives so that his photographs are interesting and dynamic.
People we support have the opportunity to develop their skills and learn from one another, as everyone brings something unique to the group. They share what they have learnt, and bounce ideas around.
At the beginning of the year the group decided it would be fun to run monthly competitions to showcase their talents.
Check out some of the fantastic winners…
John (pictured above) was the winner of the flowers theme. His entry featured a perfectly captured insect too.
Daniel was the winner of the animals theme with his fantastic shot of a robin.
Richard was the winner of the buildings and architecture theme with his stunning shot of the Liver building and Liverpool’s waterfront.
