Tony organised a get together in his house for ‘Global Scouse Day’ and he organised a charity football tournament at Joseph Lappin Centre in Liverpool which raised an incredible £263 and was featured in R Charity’s magazine with a special thank you to him for all his efforts.

Tony is described by his team as a very sociable and caring gentlemen. Within the past year it became clear that he had an aspiration to start voluntary work at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

Tony’s team listened to him and he was supported to take all the necessary steps to make his dream a reality. He was supported to take part in several induction days, along with some tests to enable Tony to understand what would be a suitable role for him to undertake at the hospital. Tony’s passion and dedication, along with great support from his team, enabled him to overcome any hurdles. Tony has now been volunteering at the hospital for over 14 months and enjoys his main responsibilities which includes meeting and greeting visitors at the hospital.

Tony has given incredible support to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, not only through his official voluntary role, but through fundraising events in his community for R Charity – the hospital’s charity.
